The show, titled The Tempest, inspired by William Shakespeare’s masterpiece and directed by Maxime Perron, is a colorful spectacle featuring impressive circus and group feats that will delight audiences of all ages. It will be presented five times in the evenings at 7:30 p.m., with an additional matinee performance this year on Saturday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m.

Synopsis:
Prospero, the former Duke of Milan, was betrayed by the court and exiled with his daughter to a mysterious island. Years later, when his enemies sail past the island, he conjures a magical storm to cause them to shipwreck on his shores.

Scattered across the island, the castaways find themselves confronted with their fears, ambitions, and failings. While some plot to seize power, Prince Ferdinand falls in love with Miranda, Prospero’s daughter.

But despite his apparent control, Prospero’s magic becomes unpredictable, sowing illusions and confusion.

As everything comes to a head, Prospero must face a crucial choice: to seek revenge… or to forgive.

Performed by the 19 first-year students and graduating seniors of the DEC-DEE Circus Arts program, ready to take flight into the professional circus world.
