The École de cirque de Québec is seeking instructors in various circus disciplines for its advanced training program (higher education program in circus arts and the secondary level circus studies) starting in the fall of 2026. The École de cirque de Québec is seeking instructors in various circus disciplines for its higher education programs (DEC-DEE and Cirque-Études Secondaires), which will begin in the fall of 2026. Knowledge of other disciplines is also welcome.

Instruction may take place in small groups or through individual lessons within these professional training programs.

  • Plan courses according to objectives
  • Support students throughout their training process
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and encourage their autonomy and development
  • Collaborate with other members of the Higher Education team to ensure that program activities run smoothly
  • In-depth knowledge of techniques and exercises leading to a professional level of mastery in specific disciplines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French (English is an asset.)
  • NCCP certification, AEC or formal circus teaching credentials are considered assets
  • Hold valid immigration status (citizenship, permanent residence, or an open work permit)

  • Number of hours based on the disciplines taught and the Higher Education program’s needs
  • Salary: between $32.79 and $35.48, based on teaching experience

  • Vacation accrual at 4% of salary
